Asia Pacific Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infection (APCCMI 2021)

The Asia Pacific Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infection (APCCMI 2021) is a biennial conference organised by The Society of Infectious Disease Singapore (SIDS). The first hybrid edition of APCCMI 2021 was attended by infectious disease doctors, epidemiologists, outbreak control professionals, pharmacists, policy makers, scientists, trainees and vaccine professionals. In the COVID-19 climate, the congress has never been more relevant and essential to all professionals in the field. Held from 11 to 13 November 2021, the congress received over 1400 registrants from 38 different countries, with 250 participants attending physically.

APCCMI featured talks and discussions across three days, covering relevant topics such as treatment of patients with COVID-19, diagnosis for bacterial resistance, and advances in laboratory mycology. Both in-person and virtual attendees of the congress were also presented with the opportunity to network with exhibitors and view their showcases, keeping all the communities engaged and active throughout the congress.
